Q3 What?! Motorola Mobility updates Android 4.0 sum for devices

Updates, updates, updates… A prohibited subject for many Android users. Most of us are, during this point, used to removing a missile when it comes to timely updates from OEM’s and carriers. Motorola knows this is an critical issue, as they’ve expelled some news per updates to Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The ascent growth cycle looks like this, that is understandable. There are methods to a stupidity concerned in pulling updates to thousands of devices. Keep in mind this is entrance from an OEM, and depending on a mobile conduit concerned there could be contractual mandate that make some inclination some-more formidable to refurbish than others.

Aside from a Wifi-Only XOOM, no other Motorola inclination have perceived an refurbish to ICS, and it looks like it might be a while… That right there proves that if a conduit is concerned a updates will be most slower. Most notably, Verizon.

It’s quite apparent that this is a new methodology of Motorola Mobility. Providing a highway map for it’s inclination is a good move, though a time support listed in this proclamation is comprehensive garbage. Three phones and 3 tablets have already surpassed “phase 1” of their cycle, that substantially means they are in “phase 2.”

There are a ton of inclination still in “phase 1” with positively no word when they will accept an update. I’m not articulate about a strange Moto Droid.. I’m articulate about a Droid RAZR, Droid RAZR Max, Droid 4, Droid Bionic and many other code new or roughly code new handsets. Seriously?

Motorola, we had no before idea of removing ICS on these BRAND SPANKING NEW phones?

It’s outrageous really. All though one of them uncover a Q3 time support for updates.  That’s another 6 months!!!!

While we extol a recover of their highway map for destiny updates, it might make we recur a squeeze of another Motorola handset or tablet.

How’s this make we feel Droid RAZR owners? Let us know if we caring one approach or another.
