Motorists pushing with earphones risk 6 months in jail –FRSC

The Federal Road Safety Corps says it is bootleg to accept or make write calls while driving, regardless of any wireless tool used for such communication.

The FRSC also pronounced drivers who make or accept calls behind a wheels with AirPods, EarPods or any form connected or wireless earphones and handsfree mode risk 6 months in jail.

FRSC Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, in an talk with Saturday PUNCH, pronounced pushing requires sum thoroughness and highway users should not take any risk on their lives.

He pronounced it is bootleg to make calls or accept same while driving, according to a National Road Traffic Regulations, 2012.

Kazeem said, “It is illegal. Driving entails 100 per cent thoroughness so we can't be distracted. It is there in a regulation.

“It is also transparent that phone call is not limited to write review between dual or some-more people.
