Apple recently released an update for iOS to address the location-tracking issues that had, and still have, a lot of iPhone users up in arms. The update may have gotten rid of the tracking feature, but it also got rid of another important feature: being able to connect to WiFi and 3G. Obviously, it’s a bit of a problem.
Some users who updated their iOS devices to iOS 4.3.3 are experiencing WiFi/3G data connection problems. David Martin from Cult of Mac said he has experienced the same issue when tring to connect to a network. The busy icon shows up near the carrier signal icon, and apparently just stays there. The user is left staring at their phone as nothing happens – no mail is downloaded, the browser won’t load pages, and so on.
The article notes that only the iPhone is affected and that there are ways to deal with the issue. The three options are: hard resetting your iPhone, “forgetting” your wireless network in the WiFi settings, or resetting your network settings altogether.
To any of our iPhone readers out there that have updated to iOS 4.3.3, have you noticed this problem? Let us know in the comments below, and if so, let us know how and if you were able to fix the issue.
